5. Calvin Bassey
Calvin Bassey Ughelumba, played in the Eredivisie league for Ajax, finally found the back of the net for his Dutch club. The Nigerian Defender silenced his critics with his goals.
On Saturday, Super Eagles defender scored his first goal for the team as Ajax defeated Volendam 4-2 on the road in the Dutch league.
4. Josh Maja
Josh Maja has had a strong start to the Ligue 2 season in 2022–2023. Bordeaux was demoted to Ligue 2 last season as a result of serious financial issues that beset the team and injuries to key players that also had an impact on their performance.
They faced Metz at home on Saturday afternoon, and in the 45th minute, The Nigerian international scored a penalty goal to put his team ahead.
3. Terem Moffi

5. Alex Iwobi
Everton lost 1-2 to Man United on Sunday in the Premier League, with Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi scoring a thunderous goal from outside the box. Iwobi, who has thrived so far this season, gave Everton the lead in the fifth minute of play with a composed finish.
