Thousands of supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Thursday staged a one million march today at the hometown of Delta State Governor and vice presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ifeanyi Okowa.

OsunDaily News reports that Obi supporters converged at Owa-Alero, occupying major streets in Agbor, in Ika North-East Local Government of Delta, on Saturday.

The march, which is part of the support for the Obi/Datti 2023 presidential ticket, saw many of the youths donning the paraphernalia of LP and its candidate.

Similarly, thousands others are currently convened at Gyado junction in Gboko, Benue State, marching through the city center to the JS Tarka Institute of Political Studies.

One of the coordinators of the rally, Joseph Itodo said that police were on ground with the participants, adding that it was mostly peaceful.

In his words; “That people contributed to make this rally a success shows that Nigeria will be great again. Honestly, this movement has united Nigerians more than ever, we had security agents on ground because we wrote to the commissioner of police, he approved and we had policemen and other security agencies with us.”

It is understood that similar march had previously held in States like Auchi (Edo State), Abeokuta (Ogun State) Makurdi (Benue State) Afikpo (Ebonyi State), Onistha (Anambra State), Port Harcourt (Rivers) and Enugu (Enugu state)
