The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Drย Iyiorcha Ayu, has confessed his fear for the Bauchi rally held yesterday.

According to him, he feared that the venue of the rally would be empty with people refusing to attend, and that he didn’t also want to be strong on social media to avoid manipulated images on television.

Addressing the stakeholders from the North-East in Bauchi, Ayu confessded that while going to Bauchi he was apprehensive that perhaps, the North-East will not come out.

He added that a political party is the people, it is not just the leaders and that sometimes too much emphasis is laid on the leaders.

OsunDaily News gathered that Ayu boasted that the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, would win with 7 million votes in the forth coming general elections.

Atiku had earlier received thousands of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties at a ceremony held the same day at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

It will be recalled that OsunDaily News reported present at that event was Governors of Bauchi, Bala Mohammed; Adamawa, Umaru Fintiri and that of Taraba, Darius Ishaku, and their deputies.

Former governors of Jigawa, Sule Lamido; Adamawa, Boni Haruna and Gombe, Ibrahim Dankwambo; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; among other dignitaries, were also present.

Atiku was with was flanked by his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa; the National Chairman of the party, Iyiorcha Ayu; Chairman of the Nigerian Governorsโ€™ Forum and the Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council and Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal and former Vice President Namadi Sambo.
