The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) is expected to release the final list of members of the council by weekend.
This is coming after the presidential candidate of the ruling party, Bola Tinubu arrived in Nigeria this evening.
Reports have it that the APC presidential campaign council is still receiving new members suggested by stakeholders and governors of the party.
Recall that Tinubu before travelling out of the country had released a 422-member Campaign Council.
The list was, however, condemned by some governors elected on the platform of the APC, and members of the National Working Committee of the party.
The PCC members, governors and Abdullahi Adamu-led NWC on Wednesday met to resolve the issue around the composition of the council list.
A member of the PCC who spoke with Vanguard on condition of anonymity said a comprehensive council list would be ready by this weekend.
According to the PCC member, the list would be released in preparation for next week’s planned flag-off of the campaign in Abuja.
The source said, “Asiwaju has been receiving briefings from various stakeholders even while in London. Now he is back and barring any last-minute change, the list will be released by this weekend.
“We are hoping to however inaugurate the councill before we flag off the campaign in Abuja. Kindly note that we had already begun our campaigns in some states of the country even before now.”
