The Zamfara State Government has promised a conducive working environment for journalists in the state.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Comrade Mannir Muazu Haidara Kaura, made the promise while addressing staff of Gold City FM, Gusau, at the end of his familiarization tour of state-owned media houses.
The commissioner said he was satisfied with the reception accorded him by the management of the agencies.
He expressed dismay at the dilapidated condition of infrastructure in the media houses, noting that the administration of Governor Dauda Lawal will address the problem.
“He (Governor Lawal) will provide conducive working environment and welfare for media workers.
“I have gone round, heard and seen your challenges. Let me assure you that Governor Dauda Lawal has a passion for media and is committed to addressing all the challenges facing these media agencies,” he said.
