Peace Mass Transit (PMT), one of Nigeriaโ€™s foremost transport companies, has announced the successful completion of a comprehensive refresher training programme for 1,000 of its drivers.

The training, conducted in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), reaffirmed PMTโ€™s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction during the holiday season and beyond.

The exercise, which commenced on October 19, 2023, and ended on December 6, was conducted at PMTโ€™s Emene workshop in Enugu and covered a diverse range of essential topics.

The programme, developed in partnership with FRSC and PMTโ€™s safety and customer service departments, focused on defensive driving techniques, adherence to traffic rules and regulations, vehicle maintenance, road signs and markings, speed limits, lane discipline, accident prevention and management, passenger rights and responsibilities, and communication skills.

Mr. Nnamdi Asadu, the head of operations at PMT, underscored the significance of this initiative in ensuring the safety of passengers and other road users.

He stressed PMTโ€™s consistent dedication to driver training since its establishment in 1994, with this exercise serving as a timely refresher to align drivers with the latest industry trends and best practices.

During his address, Mr. Asadu urged the drivers to leverage the knowledge gained during the training and apply it diligently to their daily operations. He emphasised PMTโ€™s zero-tolerance policy for any indiscipline or negligence that could compromise customer safety or tarnish the companyโ€™s reputation.

Expressing gratitude to the FRSC for their collaboration, Mr.Nnamdi Asadu commended the drivers for their dedication and professionalism.

He assured them of PMTโ€™s continued support through incentives and welfare packages to motivate them to provide excellent service.

Mr. Asadu extended an invitation to the public to choose PMT as their preferred transportation option, highlighting the companyโ€™s reputation for reliability, affordability, and safety across Nigeria.

PMT boasts a fleet of over 3,000 well-maintained buses equipped with modern amenities such as speed limiters, air conditioning, televisions, and tracking devices.

To further enhance the customer experience, PMT operates a dedicated customer care unit to address complaints and feedback from passengers. The company also offers an online booking platform, allowing customers to conveniently purchase tickets and access information about PMTโ€™s services.

As the festive season approaches, Peace Mass Transit remains steadfast in its commitment to providing safe and customer-centric travel experiences.

The successful completion of the FRSC training reinforces PMTโ€™s position as a leader in the transportation industry, ensuring passengers can trust in the companyโ€™s dedication to their well-being.
