Former Kaduna Lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has called out the management of expensive schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja for charging parents millions.
OsunDailyNG reports that Saniย in a post via Twitter on Friday, said despite the millions being charged, the Abuja expensive schools fail to produce the best students in the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) examinations.
According to the senator, less expensive schools in some remote parts of the country are sweeping the trophies in WAEC and NECO exams.
He wrote: โAbuja Schools Charges parents in tens of millions and they are watching as Students from less expensive schools in some remote parts of the country sweeps the trophies in WAEC and NECO exams.โ
Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Adjusts Tax Laws
Meanwhile, Senator Shehu Saniย has reacted to the decision by President Bola Tinubu to adjust some of the tax laws implemented by the immediate past administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari.
He described the laws implemented by Buhari as tyranny.
It would be recalled that the administration ofย President Bola Tinubuย said on Thursday that upon assumption of office, it noticed some issues that need to be corrected regarding certain tax changes introduced by theย Muhammadu Buhariย administration.
According to a statement by Tinubuโs special adviser on special duties, communication, and strategy,ย Dele Alake, the step taken is inย further demonstrationย of the commitment of the President to listen to Nigerians and act on their concerns.
Reacting to the development, Sani in a post via his Twitter account on Thursday said the step taken by Tinubu is commendable. He added that businesses that benefited from the suspension should also reduce the cost of their goods and services.
