The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has dared the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to sack him from the party and see what will happen.

According to him, he is not bothered about all the threats by some people requesting the PDP to dismiss him from the party.

OsunDaily News reports that Wike said he would respond appropriately, in case the PDP choose to act out the threat of sacking him.

The governor, who spoke at a banquet in honour of G-5 Governors on Friday night in Port Harcourt, the state capital said he has been looking forward to the day the party would sack him and he will show them what he is made of.

OsunDaily News recall that in the past weeks, people have urged the opposition PDP to dismiss Wike from the party stating that he had caused enough harm to the party.

One of such call on the party was that of the businessman and politician, Ned Nwoko, who asked the PDP to expel Wike from the party, addressing him as a nuisance who has caused the party a lot of havoc.

However, Wike said โ€œThey say they will sack me. I have been looking for the day they will sack me. Then they sack me, I pepper you. You will know that khaki no be leather.โ€

The governor maintained that the G5 governors remained united and could not be broken, as they were bonded to save Nigeria.

The G5 governors are the five aggrieved PDP governors who are at loggerheads with the partyโ€™s leadership over the resignation of the partyโ€™s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, as a condition to support the partyโ€™s flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar in 2023.

The G-5 governors, led by the Rivers state governor, Wike comprises Seyi Makinde(Oyo), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu).

The aggrieved governors are currently in the state capital to show solidarity with their leader for the kick-off of the PDP campaign in Rivers on Saturday.

While commending his colleague Wike for using project commissioning to unite the country, the Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom said the G5 was committed to equity, fairness and justice.

His Oyo state counterpart, Seyi Makinde also said he remained a proud member of the G5 while Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state insisted they were united for justice.
