Arsenal Skipper, Martin Odegaard, claims that togetherness is a key factor in his team’s success this year.
The Norwegian revealed that the reason the Arsenal team has played well so far this season is that the players pay attention to Arteta’s instructions, and he added that everyone is aware of his ideals and the style of play he prefers.
However, the 23-year-old feels that the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Fabio Vieira over the summer, as well as William Saliba’s return to the Emirates when his loan agreement with Marseille ended, have elevated Arsenal to a new level this year.
Recall that the Gunners defeated the Wolves by 2 goals to nil to top the Premier League standings with 5 points before going for a World Cup break.
While speaking to BT Sport, he said, “The team spirit in the group [Arsenal squad] is really good. Everyone is really hungry and pushing each other,
“If you listen to Arteta, you will perform. It is clear to see why Arsenal are five points clear in the Premier League right now.
“Everyone understands [his] principles, the way we want to play even more.”
“I think this year, with the signings we made, I think they’ve taken us to the next step in terms of mentality, quality and focus.” Says the Drammen native.
