The Taraba State Command of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN, has arrested a suspected gang leader of kidnappers alleged to have been terrorising some parts of the state.

The suspects who were on Sunday paraded at the palace of the Emir of Muri, Abbas Njidda, all confessed to the crime levelled against them.
Parading the suspects, the state Chairman of the VGN, in charge of operations, Dantala Adamu, said the suspects were arrested in various locations of the state.
The suspects, according to Adamu, are among the kidnappers alleged to be terrorising Yorro, Ardo-Kola and Bali local government councils of the state.
Adamu said it has become necessary for them to parade the suspect at the palace before handing them over to the police to inform the royal father of the achievements of the VGN who he has been supporting.
The royal father, DAILY POST learned, had been throwing his weight behind the group in the nooks and crannies of the state, especially in the areas of logistics.
When interrogated, the gang leader who admitted to having been in the business of kidnapping, however, denied ever killing any of his victims.
He also admitted that he has been living in a cave called the ‘the place of Commander Falalu Bush’.
Stating that the cave is located around the hills of Donkin Village in Yorro local government council of the state.
Other suspects also admitted to having participated in a series of kidnappings that led to the families of their victims coughing out several millions of Naira.
