Nigeriaโ€™s Falconets are through to the fourth round of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Womenโ€™s World Cup qualifiers following a 2-1 win against Tanzania in Abuja on Sunday.

Chris Danjumaโ€™s side scaled through 3-2 on aggregate.

Both teams battled to a 1-1 draw in the first leg last week.
Janet Aikekoromowei lifted the spirit of the fans with the opening goal in the 15th minute following an assist from Esther Ajakaye.

The visitors levelled through Jamila Rajani Mnunduka from a goal mouth scramble five minutes later.

Comfort Folorunso netted the winning goal for the Falconets on the hour mark after she was teed up by Olushola Shobowale.

Nigeria will square up with Burundi in the fourth round.

The overall winners will secure a place at the 2024 Womenโ€™s World Cup.
