A spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign, Daniel Bwala, has dared the Labour Party ( LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi to hold the Obidient movement campaign rally in the Southeast on Mondays.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart insisted that it is time for Obi to hold rallies in Awka, Anambra State capital; Umuahia, Abia State capital and Owerri, Imo State capital on Mondays.
He threw the challenge on Sunday via his Twitter handle after admitting that the #Obidient Movement rallies pulled large crowds of people in Jos, Plateau state capital, Kaduna State and Lagos State.
Bwala insisted that Obi cannot obtain the presidency by ignoring his homeland and he also has to campaign in his region if he plans to take over power in 2023.
He stated this bearing in mind the sit-at-home imposed on the Southeast on Mondays which might make it impossible for the LP flag bearer to pull as much crowd as he has successfully pulled in other states.
The PDP campaign spokesman wrote, “Pitobi @PeterObi and Labour have tried with the crusade in Jos, rally’s in Kaduna and Lagos. It is time to conduct rally in Awka, Umuahia and Owerri on Mondays. You can’t take back your country by avoiding your homeland.”
