Sky Bet Championship club, Southampton want Paul Onuachu to return to the club next summer.
Onuachu is spending the 2023/24 season on loan with Turkish Super League side, Trabzonspor.
The 29-year-old has made a big impression at the club after netting six times in eight league outings.
Trabzonspor are now willing to make the move permanent but Southampton are not ready to sanction the transfer.
Onuachu joined Southampton from Belgian Pro League club, KRC Genk in January on a three-year deal.
The lanky striker, however, failed to register a goal in 18 appearances for the Saints.
