Former Chelsea star Chris Sutton has urged Arsenal to sign Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke instead of Brentfordโs Ivan Toney.
Arsenal have been linked with both Toney and Solanke this January transfer window.
However, Sutton believes Solanke would be a better option for Mikel Artetaโs side, given his form for Bournemouth this season.
โHow can you be certain Ivan Toney would come in and hit the ground running? He has not played,โ Sutton told BBC.
โIvan Toney has proven himself as a really accomplished striker, but if Arsenal sign him, that doesnโt guarantee they will win the league.โ
He continued: โSolanke, Dominic Solanke, at this moment in time, I think heโs a brilliant all-round striker; at this moment in time, if I had to pick Solanke or Toney, I would pick Solanke just because heโs in a bit of rhythm, he leads the line, and you donโt know what you will get from Toney; that is too much of a risk at this moment in time.โ
