Niger Tornadoes forward, Bashir Usman, has revealed that he forced the coaches to bring him on in Thursdayโs 1-0 victory against Kano Pillars.
Usman came on as a second half substitute to snatch the winner at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
The striker passed a late fitness to be included in the squad after missing out on last weekโs trip to Ilorin due to injury.
โI feel very happy, though i started the game from the bench because I had injury,โ he told Tornadoes media.
โI had to force the coaches to sub me on with a promise that I wonโt disappoint them, because I had a dream that I scored a goal in this game, so that motivated me.โ
Usman has now scored six goals for the Ikon Allah Boys this season.
Niger Tornadoes currently occupy 16th position in the table with 16 points.
