Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing to stage a one million members’ match in support of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 20, 2022, was disclosed to newsmen on Friday (today) by the Director of Northwest Support Group of Tinubu Campaign Council in Kano, Bappa Babba Danagundi.
Danagundi told reporters that the former Governor of Lagos State’s son, Seyi Bola Tinubu and the Kano State Governor and Deputy Governor’s sons, would be part of the march.
The event, according to the APC chieftain, will see supporters display their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and march from the Emir’s palace in the ancient city through to Kofar Nassarawa, State Road and to the Government House roundabout.
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; his deputy, Alhaji Nasiru Gawuna, Senators from the party in the state and other important dignitaries are expected to grace the start of the march, OsunDaily News understands.
“Tinubu’s son, Seyi Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Abba Umar Ganduje, Muhammad Umar Ganduje and Yahaya Nasiru Gawuna, will also be in attendance,” said Danagundi.
He added: “Preparations have reached an advanced stage as you can see a lot of people trooping into the Tinubu Campaign Office in Kano, registering their preparedness to join the walk.
“You can see a lot of them going out with caps, glucose and water packages and others in preparation for the walk.
“Security agencies could also be seen to be performing surveillance activities at the said routes.
“Men of the road traffic agencies are also not left out in preparation for the traffic control job. More so, announcements are all over the media stations in Kano as well as other national media outfits.”
The APC chieftain boasts that the event will be a big one as musicians and other entertainers from all parts of the country would be in attendance to perform live.
He added that there will be horse and camel riders to add colour to the event.
