Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Femi Thomas has expressed optimism ahead of their matchday 26 fixture against Sunshine Stars.
The veteran goalkeeper said the Umuahia-based club wants to make up for the midweek defeat against Heartland in Awka.
Thomas canvassed for the usual support from the fans in securing maximum points in the game.
โWe as Abia Warriors want to be taking our matches one after the other,โ he told the clubโs media.
โHeartland game has come and gone. We as players know that we didnโt do well in the first half but the second half was better.
โOur next game against Sunshine Stars, I want to plead with the supporters to still believe in us because nothing but victory is assured.
โOur preparation has been top notch and we are confident that it will pay off in the game.โ
Abia Warriors will host Sunshine Stars at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.
