Eze Ekwutoziam has revealed that teamwork was key in Enyimba’s 2-1 win against Abia Warriors.
Ekwutoziam scored the opening goal for Enyimba in the game and was was named Man of the Match.
The energetic midfielder commended his teammates for showing determination in securing victory in the game.
He also expressed appreciation for innovations introduced by the club’s management in appreciating hard work in the team.
“I want to say thank you to the team. It is not an individual stuff as we are lucky to get the victory against Abia Warriors,” he said after receiving his award.
“It’s just an individual award which I applaud my teammates for because I can’t do it alone.
“I want to appreciate the club chairman Nwankwo Kanu for the innovation which is a sign of rewarding hard work and to motivate the players in giving their all.”
Enyimba are four points behind league leaders Remo Stars who are on 23 points.
