Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has underwent successful surgery in Saudi Arabia, OsunDailyNG reports.
Plumptre sustained the injury while in action for Saudi club, Al Ittihad last month.

The former Leicester City player took to the social media to announce the news of her surgery and thank the club, national team, as well as her fans for their support.
โThank you to everyone at @ittiladiesclub and to Dr Pieter DโHooge at @Aspetar for supporting me through my first surgery.
โItโs been a long time coming trying to get answers but Iโm so grateful to now be at this stage.
โTo my @NGSuper_Falcons teammates and nigerian fansโฆ thank you for your patience and understanding when Iโve not been able to be with you. I can honestly say I have fought as hard and for as long as I can with this pain. I canโt wait to be back healthy with you all.
โMy club โ @ittiladiesclub.
โIโm so grateful to be surrounded by some really great humans at this club. Thank you, all of you, for helping me through and supporting me every step of the way.
