The Super Eagles of Nigeria maintained the 40th position in the latest FIFA World ranking released on Thursday morning.

Jose Peseiroโ€™s side also remain in sixth position in Africa.

Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt are the top five teams on the continent.

The three-time African champions recorded a win and a draw from their last two outings.

The Super Eagles were forced to a 2-2 draw by Saudi Arabia, while they defeated Mozambique 3-2.

The West Africans will next be in action against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on November 17.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture is slated for Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The Eagles will also face the Warriors of Zimbabwe three days later at the Amarhoro Stadium, Kigali.
