Nigerian gospel music producer and son of a gospel filmmaker, Joshua Mike Bamiloye, has shared his reservations concerning Christians who patronize Afrobeats musicians like Davido and Wizkid.
Bamiloye sparked an online debate after expressing his opinion on Christians attending secular music concerts.
Speaking via Twitter, Bamiloye opined that genuine Christians should not participate in concerts by secular musicians such as Davido, Wizkid, Rema, and more.
Not stopping there, the music producer went ahead to rightly predict that some people would argue over his stance.
According to him, people who are guided by the Holy Spirit should understand how to set boundaries.
He said, โHonestly, If you consider yourself a genuine Christian, itโs not appropriate to participate in shows or concerts by secular artists like Davido, Wizkid, Rema etc Some might argue against this view, but those who are guided by the Holy Spirit understand where to set boundaries.โ

โThat is what everybody in the Christian fellowship called me. And when we got married, she didnโt stop calling me Bro Mike! Then we got our first son and we were shocked when the one-year-old boy called me: โaa-aa-yite!
We both tried to begin to call: sweetie! honey! baby!, sweatheart! MD!โ It didnโt work out! One day, before my mum (big sister) who had been fighting this, My wife wanted to prove to my big sister that we had tried our best to adjust. I was upstairs and she called me in the presence of my mum: โhoney!โ sweetie!! sweatheart!!โ She called and called and Ir didnโt register that I was the one she was calling.
โI was hearing her voice but it never registered. Then she just called โbro Mike!โ And I responded very loudly. And my mum laughed! And that was it. And now, our marriage has been 35 years and all our children are married with children and she has not stopped calling: โbro Mike!โ And I have not stopped responding!
โBut I am going to break this jinx one day before our 40th wedding anniversary! I promise you all, I will break the jinx before the grandchildren begin to call me: โbraaa-hightee!โ
