The Executive Secretary, Zamfara State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Yakubu Hussaini Anka, has called on the Social Mobilization Committee to redouble its efforts during the upcoming polio round slated for 2nd to 5th March 2024.
The Executive Secretary made the call while delivering his welcome address during the Social Mobilization meeting held at the Primary Healthcare office recently.
This was contained in a statement issued by the spokesman, State Ministry of Health, Bello Ibrahim Boko.
Dr. Yakubu Anka who was represented by the State Immunisation Officer, Mainasara Ambaya said, “the committee should focus on house to house, hospitals and other designated places so that wide coverage would be recorded and non-compliance hugely reduced.”
He commended the longtime efforts of the committee, saying the many successes recorded in its history are the result of commitment by all members of the committee.
Dr. Anka said with the social mobilisation committee on ground, Zamfara State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and the Ministry of Health can achieve their targets, especially as the current administration has declared a State of Emergency on healthcare.
