The Nigeria Premier Football League opener involving Sporting Lagos and Gombe United has been postponed, DAILY POST reports.
The match was initially billed for Saturday, September 30 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Lagos.
It will now be held on Monday, October 2nd at the same venue.
The Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi stated that the postponement was necessitated due to logistics reasons involving the venue of the match.
Both teams will be meeting for the first time in the history of the NPFL.
Sporting Lagos secured promotion to the top flight after finishing among the top four in the Nigeria National League playoff.
