Nigerian musician, Simisola Kosoko, professionally known as Simi, has sparked mixed reactions after speaking of being heartbroken.
OsunDailyNG reports that Simi took to her verified Twitter page late Wednesday night to say that Nigeria broke her heart again.
She said the situation in Nigeria breaks her โheart a little more every day.โ
The 35-year-old singer wondered how Nigerians are coping with the current economic turmoil.
โNigeria just breaks my heart a little more every day. How are people surviving? Simi asked on the microblogging platform, Twitter.
The post by the Duduke crooner has since generated a barrage of reactions on social media as Nigerians aired their experiences.
OsunDailyNG reports that the price of commodities has gone up in Nigeria following the recent increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), better known as petrol or fuel.
While Nigerians are yet to get relief from the recent hike in the price of petrol, marketers have alerted that the price of Gas will increase in the next few days.
Speaking during a recent interview, the President of the Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers, Olatunbosun Oladapo, said gas consumers should brace themselves for price hikes starting next week.
He cited rising international prices, high tax rates and prices of vessels, forex scarcity, and naira devaluation as some of the reasons for the intended price review.
โIt is starting next week because international prices have gone up. The prices of vessels have gone up and taxes are high, but consumers are not earning more.
โTheir purchasing power has gone down. Everybody is crying. Consumers, middlemen, and retailers are feeling the impact because business is now on the low side,โ the PUNCH quoted Oladapo to have said.
Olatunbosun described the imminent price increment as unfortunate.

@ToyosiGodwin โ The people feeling this the most in Lagos are on the mainland. Itโs bad, bad. You canโt take two steps without someone coming to beg you for money. I used to argue that they were lazy before but right now, nah. This one is too much. Everything is expensive. Even salary earners are feelings it.
@PEACEJDG โ โI donโt just know why I donโt have this pity for Lagosians it is in this same Lagos if Tinubu contest tomorrow, millions go still vote for him, even the beggars among them.
@SeniormanAV โ โThe country is hard for so many people, I just pray a policy that will ease the less privileges burden come so fast from this current government.
@PopsyMason โ โWeโre surviving because we have no other options than to survive and make a living for our family irrespective of what we face, we learn to keep happy faces for our family and loved ones need us to be happyโฆ Also, hoping one day, God will have mercy on us.
โNigeria will be greatโ.
@BlessingNicole1 โ โGod is just so faithful, I sometimes share my lil profit from poor sales with people in my area because; some canโt even afford drinking water as the case may be. I pray God blesses me more so I can be a blessing to many far and near.
@Benzoicman โ โDespite the challenges that break our hearts, our indomitable spirit and resourcefulness keep us going.
@VictoryOwai โ โIf there is one thing we Nigerians have in common, it is the ability to adapt. We have been adapting to everything the government throw at us. And we will continue to do that till our redemption comes.
Till then, every Nigerian should stay strong.
@Walex_dinho โ โItโs crazy outside. This is a country where ordinary citizens only strive to feed and do not dare to dream big cos that seems far-fetched. Even feeding is difficult for most, isnโt it? A country where most citizens, except the looters are already tired but got nowhere to run to.
@Dele_of_Calabar โ โIt hasnโt been easy one bit. Everyone is feeling the heat.
Civil servants, traders, pensioners, those not on the governmentโs payroll and of course students too, everybody dey suffer.
@hugedigitalmkt โ โMost Nigerians are doing well; after enjoying Buhari, they decided to follow his master. All I can say is try to get home on time, or just stay where you are until the next day instead of night waka.
Many Nigerians are used to suffering, 7 years to go, except God delivers via tribunal.
@BiliMike โ โWe just entered the latest version of shege yesterday when dollar clock 950. Thank God for Elo Elo Elo.โ
