The Jigawa State Chief Judge and Chairman of the Judicial Service Commission, Hon. Justice Umar M. Sadiq, has warned nine newly appointed magistrates to shun all forms of corruption and restore the judiciaryโs image.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Director of Protocol & Publicity, State Judiciary, Abbas Rufaโi Wangara, and sent to OsunDailyNG.
The Chief Judge said the appointment of the magistrates followed rigorous written examinations and oral interviews conducted by the special committee formed by the resolution of the commission to have dedicated and committed Magistrates in the State Judicial arm.
He warned the appointees to shun all forms of corruption and bribery to maintain the tempo of integrity and make everything possible to restore the image of the judiciary at a lower level, as they will serve as the last hope of the common man.
He also charged them to be fully prepared for any challenges associated with their official engagement.
He therefore urged the newly appointed magistrates to be honest & hard work and to prove the integrity reposed in them.
Those appointed include Yusuf Rabiโu Abubakar, Nasiru Bala Ibrahim, Rabiโu Aminu Sabo, and Abubakar Haladu. Faโiza Kamilu Abubakar Auwal Husain Adam, Babani Musa, Hassan Yaโu and Ismaโil Muhammad.
