Vice President Kashim Shettima has said the private sector is an important part of the foundation that holds the Nigerian government together.
He reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubuโs commitment to cultivating an environment conducive to enterprise and innovation.
He said it explains why the Presidentโs vision for Nigeria is based on eight priority areas, including poverty eradication, economic growth, job creation, and equitable access to capital.
The Vice President spoke on Thursday at the inauguration of projects in Anambra State, including the Ijele 93.1 FM Radio Station, Phase two of the Touch-a-Life Housing Project, and a metre production factory.
โThis gathering is a reminder that the private sector forms the other half of the governmentโs crucial foundation. Whatever innovation we design, whatever ideas we explore, whatever interests we pursue, we cannot achieve our objectives if those for whom they are targeted are not carried along or in tune with our agenda,โ he said.
VP Shettima praised Anambra State for its private-sector-driven development while promising the Nigerian governmentโs assistance in tackling the stateโs environmental concerns.
He also lauded Governor Charles Soludo for appreciating the value of a strong business sector.
