We would like to clarify the recent claims of fake defection in Ward 11, Ijeda Iloko. At no point has Alaba Alo served as our vice chairman. Furthermore, the youth leader and the woman leader have been suspended since last year due to anti-party activities and a lack of discipline.
It is also important to note that those listed as having defected are all members of the APC who appear to be attempting to leverage this situation for political gain. We urge the public to disregard these misleading narratives and remain focused on the true objectives of our party.
We recognize the political tactics being employed, particularly by Wole Oke, whose deceptive measures aim to disparage and malign our party and its leadership. We want to make it clear that these attempts cannot hold any credibility.
The reports of fake defections are nothing more than a strategic maneuver, likely spurred by the recent viral video featuring the Honourable Commissioner challenging Wole Oke to resign and return home to test his popularity by recontesting for the same position.
This is precisely what drives the fabricated narratives we are seeing today. We remain steadfast in our loyalty to our party and our leaders, particularly Honourable Bayo Ogungbangbe, and will continue to expose these tactics for what they truly are.
This so-called defection is fake and lacks any real substance. We remain committed to our party’s mission and will not be swayed by these disingenuous attempts.
