The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The governor, in a statement on Monday, 9th July, said the feat was evidence of Tinubuโs outstanding collaborative leadership.
OsunDailyNG recalls that Tinubu emerged as Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS on Sunday at the 63rd Ordinary Session in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.
Sanwo-Olu, in a state statement signed by the Presidentโs Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, noted that the development significantly affirmsย Nigeriaโs leadership in the West African sub-region and Africa.
He said his emergence shows that his colleagues have confidence in him to lead the vital coalition that will manifest in effective collaboration and practical solutions to the challenges of economic growth, sustainable development, and issues of trans-border security.
