Famous Nigerian singer and rapper, Panshak Henry Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, has described the beef between Nigerians and South Africans on social media as brotherly love.
OsunDailyNG reports that the Jos-born singer made this known while appearing in the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by British-Nigerian media personality, Adesope Olajide, better known as Shopsydoo.
Ice Prince claimed the two nations are literally brothers, stressing they want the best for each other, and there is no major beef between them.
He said, โI think the rivalry between Nigerians and South Africans is just brotherly love. You know how in a family, brothers always go at each other? I guess thatโs what it is.
โWe are literally brothers. Weโre from the same father and mother; Nigerians, South Africans, Ghanaians, Kenyans. As long as you are black, you are African. Weโre one and the same.
โSo, the way brothers logged heads in the family, I guess thatโs what it is. Itโs not a real issue. South Africans want to see Nigerians do better.
โNigerians want to see South Africans do better. I guess that is what it is. We are just pushing ourselves as long as it doesnโt get too far where the beef leads to some ugly stuff.
โAnd so far, thereโs not been any major beef. By Godโs grace, there will never be. We are literally the same.โ
