Rangers captain Chukwudi Nwaodu believes that the oriental derby clash against Enyimba will be tough.
Nwaodu revealed that a lot is at stake going into the game.
He stressed that the Flying Antelopes’ 2-0 win against Sporting Lagos last weekend has given the team the needed motivation ahead of the encounter in Aba.
Enyimba will play host to Rangers at the Enyimba Stadium on Wednesday(today).
“It’s an oriental derby, it’s going to be a tough one because a lot is at stake,” he told the club’s media.
“It’s all about a game of interest, priority and a game to boast about. It’s going to be an interesting encounter. We will come out and fight.
“The win over Sporting Lagos has reconciled us back to winning ways and it’s a big motivation going into today’s game.”
Enyimba beat Rangers 2-1 in their last meeting in 2022.
Chijioke Mbaoma netted a brace in the game, while Ossy Martins scored the consolation goal for Rangers.
