Nomad Vigilante Group of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore has returned 267 pairs of uniforms, 102 black belts, and 189 infantry lanyards to the Nasarawa State Police Command.

It complies with the recent executive order issued by Governor Abdullahi Sule on the proscription of ethnic vigilante groups and other similar organisations in the state.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the stateโ€™s Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement on Saturday, said, โ€œFive hundred and sixty-four (564) black berets, three hundred and thirty-nine (339) pieces of black/ ten (10) white lanyards and two (2) identification cards were also returned to the Police by the proscribed group.โ€

The Commissioner of Police called on those yet to comply with the Executive Order to do so on or before the expiration of the two-week ultimatum, assuring that the Command will ensure that the ban is enforced to the latter.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, the leader of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, had alleged that Governor Sule disbursed N15 million for the procurement of uniforms for members of the group.

Bodejo, who made this known in a confessional statement from the custody of the Defense Intelligence Agency, DIA, obtained by a national daily, also alleged that an additional N15 million was released by the state government for mobilization and renting of hall for the launching of the group held in January, but only half of the money was given to him.

He was arrested on January 24, 2024, in the Karu Local Government Area of the state and arraigned recently in a Federal High Court, Abuja on a three-count charge bothering on terrorism for allegedly establishing an unlawful ethnic militia group, Kungiya Zaman Lafiya
