The Managing Director and CEO of Promiseland Estate, Amb Lawrence Oloche (MON), recently paid a courtesy call to the office of the Defence and Police Officersโ€™ Wives Association (DEPOWA) in Abuja.

Amb Oloche, accompanied by his entourage, was warmly received by the President of DEPOWA, Mrs Oghogho C.G Musa, and her EXCO.

The visit aimed to acknowledge and appreciate the commendable efforts of DEPOWA in enhancing the lives of service members, widows, children, and the broader community, both within and outside the barracks.

During the visit, Amb Oloche commended Mrs Musa for her steadfast commitment to the ideals that birthed DEPOWA.

He specifically lauded the associationโ€™s significant role in uplifting the lives of military widows, empowering the girl child, and supporting the less privileged.

He urged Mrs Musa not to relent in her pursuit of these noble causes.

Expressing gratitude for the positive impact DEPOWA has made under Mrs Musaโ€™s leadership, Amb Oloche pledged the support of Promiseland Estate to the association.

He affirmed that Promiseland Estate would actively contribute to DEPOWAโ€™s mission of assisting the needy, less privileged, and improving living standards both inside and outside the barracks.

Amb Oloche also called upon other Nigerians to join hands in supporting DEPOWA, emphasizing the associationโ€™s vital role in reaching out to those in need within the society.

Responding, Mrs Musa expressed her gratitude to Amb Oloche for the visit and underscored the unique position of DEPOWA as a registered non-governmental organization composed of women linked by marriage to Military and Police Officers in Nigeria.

She stated that DEPOWAโ€™s distinctive structure of affiliate associations enables it to effectively address pressing needs within the barracks and surrounding communities.

Mrs Musa highlighted DEPOWAโ€™s history of making a meaningful impact on women, youth, and the less privileged through various initiatives such as empowerment programmes, sponsorships, donations, and training.
