The President-elect of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, on Monday, visited President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria.
OsunDailyNG reports the two leaders met at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to the Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, Mahama’s visit was a courtesy visit.
“The President-Elect of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama paid a courtesy visit to President Tinubu at his residence, Presidential Villa, State House Yesterday,” he wrote via X on Tuesday.

Recall the Electoral Commission of Ghana (ECG), officially declared John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the winner of the country’s 2024 presidential election.
The declaration was made last Monday in Accra by the chairman of the commission, Jane Mensa.
According to the declared results, Mahama polled 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total votes to defeat his closest rival, and incumbent vice president, Mahamudu Bawumia of the ruling National Patriotic Party (NPP), who scored 4,657,304 votes representing 41.6%.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has assured the Chairman of Commission Electorale Nationale Autonomie (CENA) Of Benin Republic, Sacca Lafia, of support ahead of the country’s 2026 general elections.
INEC Chair, Yakubu, said this as Sacca Lafia led a delegation of CENA members to understudy Nigeria’s electoral law and processes, on Monday in Abuja.
In his address, Professor Yakubu promised to share every experience of the commission with CENA to ensure peaceful election in the West African border nation to Nigeria.
