About 22,000 individuals have submitted applications for the ongoing recruitment for Constables in the Nigeria Police Force in Bauchi State.

The applicants, hailing from the 20 Local Government Areas of the state, are presently undergoing thorough screening at the Police Training School in Bauchi.

The screening process involves scrutiny by various government agencies, including the Police Service Commission, Federal Character Commission, Ministry of Police Affairs, Bauchi State Office of the Head of Service, State Civil Service Commission, and Police Training Department.

OsunDailyNG reports that the screening encompasses evaluations of credentials, height and chest measurements and semi-medical observations to assess the applicantsโ€™ health conditions in preparation for subsequent training after shortlisting.

Speaking to Journalists at the venue of the screening exercise, Assistant Chief of Police Service Commission, Angulu Kadiri said the exercise started on Monday and has progressed well without hitches.

He assured that the screening would be completed as scheduled, emphasising that no eligible applicant would be unintentionally left un-screened if they possess all the required documents.

Kadiri commended the support and cooperation received from the Bauchi State Government and the State Police Command throughout the exercise.

On the number to be recruited for Bauchi State, he said, โ€œOne thing that is sure is that Bauchi State will get the number allotted to it. Each state has a number to be recruited; Bauchi State is not an exception.โ€
