โ PDP CHAIRMAN DIRECTS PDP MEMBERS TO STAY AWAY FROM SECRETARIATS, WARNS AGAINST PLANNED ARREST OF PDP MEMBERS
A top leader of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Senator Mudashiru Hussein has disclosed that security agencies have been directed by the presidency to accompany his party to take over local government secretariats tomorrow Wednesday.
In a leaked audio message to members of the party, Hussein said APC members are to assemble at the police station in each local government where security agents will now lead them to take over the councils.
According to Mudashiru, signals to effect the said directive have been received by the Commissioner of Police, Director of DSS, and Commandant of the Civil Defence.
โTomorrow, we must mobilise. That is the directive from our leaders. All top leaders will be at the police station.
โWe have to take power back from these people. We have the backing of the Presidency โ, Hussein said in the leaked audio.
Meanwhile, PDP State Chairman, Hon Sunday, Bisi has reiterated Governor Ademola Adeleke’s directive to PDP members to stay away from the council secretariats.
He also raised alarm about clandestine attempts to arrest PDP members ahead of the Saturday local government elections.
โWe remind our members of the directive of Mr Governor to stay away from the secretariats. We should focus on our campaigns for the Saturday polls.
โWe also alert the world of plans to arrest PDP members ahead of Saturday polls. We are the victims. The APC is the aggressor. We call on the Inspector General of Police to stop unlawful activities in Osun state.
โWe will remain peaceful. We will abide by the law. We will campaign and wait for elections on Saturdayโ, the PDP chairman declared.
