The Criminal Investigation Department, CID, in the Cross River State Police Command, Calabar, has absolved one Mr James Ekpenyong Igaja of the accusation of stealing a manhood belonging to one Mr Mpokutu Monday Sampson.
This was after their thorough investigation of the matter.
The accused, Igaja, who resides at No 3b Edem Edet Street, Calabar, who was wrongly accused of manhood theft, has also decided to forgive the claimant after his exoneration of the crime by the police.
Speaking with newsmen on the matter, Igaja described the allegation as false and dangerous, which was capable of attracting mob action against him.
“With the consent and approval of my family, I have decided to forgive and forget the case willingly without duress from the police,” he told reporters.
The decision to discontinue the matter is contained in an affidavit of facts or withdrawal of the case sworn to by the accused at the High Court, Calabar.
The claimant, who resides at No 9 Ekeya Street, Calabar, alleged on September 6, 2023, that Igaja stole his manhood through diabolical means.
