Nigerian sensational singer, Simisola Kosoko, better known as Simi, has debunked speculations of dating her colleague, Falz Folarin, popularly known as Falz The Bahd Guy.
OsunDailyNG recalls that prior to the secret marriage of Simi and Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, on January 9, 2019, in Lagos, there were rumours that the ‘Duduke’ crooner was dating Falz.
Just like her relationship with Adekunle Gold, Simi never debunked or admitted that there was chemistry between her and Falz.
However, the singer, while featuring in the interview segment of MTV Base Africa’s programme, Official Naija Top 10, insisted she had a good working relationship with Falz.
According to her, it was fans who spread the rumours that they were dating because of their sonic chemistry, which many people claimed was so amazing.
Simi added that the duo decided to ride on the rumour and used it as a strategy to produce more music together.
She said, “He [Falz] did a verse on my song, ‘JAMB Question Remix’. And I was like, ‘Ah! Me and this guy, there is a vibe there.’ So, we did ‘Soldier’, and everybody was like, the chemistry is so amazing.
“We never saw that. People bought what we were not selling. And we were like, okay, this is a strategy.
So, we did ‘Chemistry’ the album. People gave us the name and the idea. We never actually came and say, oh, we are dating”
