The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Alex Otti on homeland security, Chukwunenye Nwaogu Alajemba has disowned trending news reports which claimed that he had resigned his appointment.

The Special Assistant who made the disclaimer in a statement on Saturday, lamented that the report was created by a publisher to create a problem between him and his boss, Otti and to misinform Abians.

The news of Alajembaโ€™s unverified resignation was published on some social media handles on Saturday morning, where the Special Assistant was alleged to have resigned with immediate effect.

The social media reports also claimed that the governorโ€™s aid while resigning, allegedly blamed his decision on the governorโ€™s alleged autocratic style of governance.

But in a quick reaction he made available to the press, the Senior Special Assistant disowned the news, describing it as ridiculous and fallacious while reaffirming that Governor Alex Otti remained his boss, friend and genuine leader.

โ€ I want to unequivocally refute this claim as it has nothing to do with me. The Governor of Abia State is a genuine leader who has mentored me with grace, and he continues to serve Abia State and Nigeria selflessly with vigour, patriotism and candour.

โ€œI want to state in very clear terms that all claims in such posts are false and nonsensical and do not reflect the awesome relationship that I continue to share with my boss, father and friend, the Governor of Abia State Dr. Alex Otti.

โ€œThe publisher of this post is a shameless mischief-maker who has absolutely nothing to do with his life. He does not even know the country of my residence, something that is so public but which he got so grossly wrong. So how can he know why I had to quickly and briefly visit my family who live outside Nigeria?โ€

Alajemba urged Abians to disregard the fake news of his resignation, saying that it was an attempt to rubbish the good name of Governor Alex Otti and himself.

The Senior Special Assistant added that he would soon return to Nigeria, to do the task ahead on behalf of the Governor and the people of Abia State.
