The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has described the state chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, as economic saboteurs.
The Osun APC also alleged that judiciary workers in the state became a willing tool in the hands of the state government for selfish reasons.
The party made this known in a statement by its chairman, Tajudeen Lawal and issued by its Spokesperson, Kola Olabisi in Osogbo on Wednesday.
OsunDailyNG recalls that the state chapter of JUSUN has suspended its more than three months industrial action.
The strike came as a result of allegations levelled against the stateโs Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo.
However, the APC said: โThe most annoying part of the statement issued by the state leadership announcing the cessation of the strike was that โthere shall be no victimization of any form against any judicial officer or any member of JUSUN for participating directly or indirectly in the strike or as a result of the strikeโ.
โSuch a statement by the state JUSUN portrayed its weakness and phobia for imminent sanction for an offence wittingly committed against the state by a group of hired quislings advancing the political cause of their taxpayers.
โIt is a pity that the Osun JUSUN leadership allowed itself to be used and it must be ready for its consequences as the whole of the state and beyond were the victims of the irrational strike shamelessly embarked upon by its members.
โThere is an urgent need for the appropriate books of the law to be opened by both the direct and indirect victims of the ill-thought, unpatriotic and wicked four-month-old strike of the Osun State judicial workers.โ
He maintained that the party resolved that whoever had a hand in the economic adversity of the state and deprivation of law and justice for that long period of time should be brought to justice โif only to serve as a deterrent to the other unions who might be contemplating similar unpatriotic action.โ
