Shooting Stars technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote believes his side deserved at least a point from the matchday 20 tie against Enyimba.
The Oluyole Warriors lost 1-0 at the Enyimba International Stadium on Saturday in Aba.
Chijoke Mbaoma netted the only goal in the game.
Ogunbote blamed the loss on carelessness on the part of the team.
“The game has been won and lost, we will take the positives. Be it as it may, sometimes, you give it your all but you don’t get the desired result, at worse, we deserve a point from this game,” he said in a post-match interview.
“We were careless with the goal we conceded today, it’s a situation we could have avoided.
“Sometimes, it happens like that in the game. We will go back home, pick up the pieces and let’s see what happens.”
