Bendel Insurance head coach, Monday Odigie has praised his players for coming out strong against Rivers United.
The Benin Arsenals were held to a 1-1 draw by the former champions at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on Thursday.
Chisom Okereke put Insurance in front in the 21st minute.
It was Okerekeโs first goal for the club since his arrival on loan from holders Enyimba at the start of the season.
Skipper Nyima Nwagua levelled scores for Rivers United seven minutes before the break.

โThey are one of the best in the country. Despite this result, we need to keep working hard.โ
Odigieโs side sits in the seventh position on the table with 24 points from 16 games.
They will host old rivals Rangers in their next league game on Saturday, January 6, 2024.
