Supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, popularly known as obidients have been rated as more peaceful than supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani gave the verdict in a comparison he did on Wednesday via his social media account.
According to Sani, what supporters of Peter Obi are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what supporters of President Buhari did in 2011.
He however cautioned that regardless of his point, situations or actions that may lead to anarchy should not be encouraged.
โNO patriot should trigger or encourage anarchy, but we shouldnโt also โshorten our memoriesโ; what Peterโs supporters are doing in 2023 is more peaceful than what Buhariโs supporters did in 2011. You only need to recall the past in order to appreciate the present,โ Sani wrote on Twitter.
OsunDaily News recallsย the federal government through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed during a recent interaction with some international media organizations in Washington, USA, accused and warned Obi against inciting Nigerians to violence over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
According to Mohammed, it is wrong for Obi to seek redress in court over the outcome of the presidential election and on the other hand incite people to violence.
However, in response, Obi denied allegations of inciting people against the Nigerian state or encouraging anyone to undermine Nigeria as accused by the Minister.
The former Anambra State Governor said the government has launched a campaign of calumny against him to try and demarket him.
