NIger Tornadoes FC of Minna, Niger State, will tomorrow kick start the the New league season against Abia Warriors of Umuahia at the Abia Township Stadium.
The team presently under the tutelage of Technical Adviser Hamza Abdulazeez Abarah, rounded off preparations for the new league season last week.
The competition, according to a statement signed by the Media Officer of the team, Usman Garba Kuta, took place at three different centres, including Ijebu Ode, in Ogun State, Kontagora, Niger State, and Kano State.
It further disclosed that the team played an invitational Pre Season Unity Cup in Kano.
The statement said, “The leadership of the NPFL under the leadership of Mr Gbenga Elegbeleye, and his lieutenants, and the nation’s football governing body has fixed 30th Sept 2023, for the commencement of the new league season
” Tornadoes just like the other top flight teams will battle for supremacy in the premier, with some clubs going to play their home matches away from home just like Niger Tornadoes who will be playing its home matches in Kaduna. And Lobi Stars, at the Lafia Stadium.”
