The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is taking strict measures to address complaints of overdue payables and contract breaches among clubs.

The NPFL has set a deadline of Monday, October 14 for all clubs to resolve these issues, warning that failure to do so will result in the indefinite withdrawal of licenses for new players.

Several clubs, including Heartland, 3SC, Bendel Insurance, Kwara United, Lobi Stars, El-Kanemi, Abia Warriors, Enyimba, Katsina United, and Akwa United, are facing complaints over overdue payables and contract breaches.

Bendel Insurance Want To Beat Ikorodu City

Bendel Insurance have expressed their determination to secure their first away victory of the season against Ikorodu City.

They will face Oga Boys in a matchday six fixture at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, on Saturday.

โ€œWe go again, and we head to Lagos this time in search of our first away victory,โ€ Bendel Insurance, who have recorded one win, three draws, and a defeat, wrote on X.

โ€œMay the land of Lagos favour us. Please follow and support us.โ€

NPFL makes Changes in Matchday Fixtures

The NPFL has made changes to the match schedules for several fixtures, including the matchday seven fixture between Rivers United and Shooting Stars, as well as the week six match between Shooting Stars and Enyimba.

The Rivers United vs Shooting Stars clash which was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 16, has been moved to Thursday, October 17.

Enyimbaโ€™s matchday six clash with Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba on Sunday, October 13th, has been moved from 5:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the said date.

Benue Government To Audit Lobi Starsโ€™ Finances

In response to complaints of non-payment of salaries by players and officials, the Governor of Benue State has established a forensic audit panel to investigate Lobi Starsโ€™ finances.

This measure aims to address the issues and ensure transparency within the clubโ€™s management.

Rivers United Get New Captain

Rivers United have named Temple Emekayi as the captain of the team, following Nyima Nwaguaโ€™s departure for Saudi Arabia.
