The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu directed that the governorship elections in Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo states should be free, fair, and peaceful.
Ganduje disclosed this while leading the governor-elect of Kogi State, Usman Ododo and Hope Uzodinma of Imo State to visit Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Friday.
He said APC candidates conducted themselves with integrity as directed by the President during the elections.
According to Ganduje, APC had conceded victory to the opposition in Bayelsa State following Tinubuโs orders.
โWe lost the election in Bayelsa, and we have conceded in good faith. You directed that the elections should be free, fair, and peaceful, and it was so,โ Ganduje said.
In Imo State, Uzodinma defeated Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Atha6 Achonu of the Labour Party, LP.
Similarly, Ododo defeated Dino Melaye of PDP and Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Kogi State.
