Mrs Kemi Nandap, the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, says no space will be given to any criminal minded travelers to come into the country.
Nandap gave the assurance in a statement by the agencyโs Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Udo on Wednesday in Abuja.
The CG extended felicitations to all Muslim officers and men of the NIS, Nigerian citizens and migrants who are resident in the country.
Nandap also felicitated with President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubumi Tunji-Ojo, on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.
The minister also commended all Muslims who, through shared commitment and dedication, took time out to fast and pray for the security, unity and welfare of the country.
She charged all Nigerians to continually promote Godly virtues on a daily basis while affirming the agencyโs commitment to border security and management.
โI believe in a better Nigeria and I am assuring the nation of the NISโ renewed determination to make the nationโs borders safe and protected.
โNo space will be given to any criminally minded traveller across our windows.
โOnly properly documented and authorised migrants, who are capable of creating or adding value through legitimate engagements, are allowed a space to reside in the country,โ she said.
Nandap called for enhanced synergy among security agencies, saying that โby working together, we can fortify the foundations of national defense, security and developmentโ.
