Gateway FC and Malumfashi FC have been pardoned by the Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The two clubs have been allowed back to the second tier following their expulsion by the league body.

Chairman of NNL, Ayo Abdulrahman, said the committee took the pleas of the two teams and decided to temper justice with mercy, and it allowed the two teams the opportunity to be part of the league once again after payment of all their liabilities.

DAILY POST recalls that the leadership of the Nigeria National League recently expelled Gateway and Malumfashi from the league.

The two teams were expelled in line with the NNL rule book.

This, the board said, was due to their inability to meet their financial obligations to NNL and fulfil other club licencing conditions for the 2023โ€“2024 league season.
