Leicester Cityโs manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has announced that midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will not be available for selection in the upcoming clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wilfred Ndidi has been sidelined since he sustained an injury during Leicester Cityโs recent 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion two weeks ago. His absence was notably felt last weekend when the Foxes suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat away at Newcastle United.
Van Nistelrooy provided an update on Ndidiโs condition, stating, โWilfred is currently undergoing his rehabilitation. Heโs not yet participating in training on the pitch, so he wonโt be available for the match against Wolves.โ
This ongoing injury has limited Ndidiโs contributions, as he has only managed to feature in 15 league matches for Leicester City this season.
Meanwhile, Arsenalโs manager, Mikel Arteta, has positive news regarding his squad ahead of their match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Arteta confirmed that both Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori will be fit and available to join the team for the trip to Selhurst Park.
Rice had previously missed the 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup earlier in the week, while Calafiori has been out of action for several weeks with his injury.
Arteta expressed confidence in the recovery of his players, stating, โBoth Declan and Riccardo are available to be included in the squad for the match.โ
However, he noted the potential absence of defender Takehiro Tomiyasu and midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko, adding, โTomiyasu and Zinchenko are probably not ready for the game.โ
Arsenal are keen to secure three points in this fixture to maintain their competitive position close to league leaders Liverpool and Chelsea, especially after recording back-to-back draws against Fulham and Everton in their previous matches.
