OsunDailyNG looks at the top happenings making headlines on the front pages of Nigeria’s national newspapers today Wednesday 26th July 2023.

The PUNCH: Condemnation has trailed the conduct of the Department of State Services at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday during the court appearance of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.

The Guardian: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), yesterday, took a route to combating inflation as it tinkered with the asymmetry corridor, increasing banks’ incentives to unpack their idle funds.

ThisDay: Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) yesterday re-arrested the suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, in the premises of the Federal High Court, Lagos, few hours after he was granted bail by Justice Nicholas Oweibo.

The Nation: The shape of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet became clearer last night. It was gathered that no fewer than four former governors will be nominated. Two of them are from the Northwest, the others from Southsouth and Southwest geo-political zones

Daily Trust: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is yet to send the list of his ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation 48 hours before the deadline, Daily Trust reports. The delay by the president to unveil his cabinet had heightened expectations from Nigerians, who are keenly waiting for the list of ministers that would assist the president to deliver his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Thank you for reading, that is all for today, see you again tomorrow for a review of Nigerian newspapers.
