Former Real Sociedad midfielder Mutiu Adepoju has predicted the Super Eagles of Nigeria will beat the Bafana Bafana when both teams clash in the semi-final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote dโ€™Ivoire on Wednesday evening.

According to Adepoju, the Super Eagles have beaten South Africa several times in the past and can still do it again.

In a tweet via his X account before the game, Adepoju said: โ€œHereโ€™s wishing the team the best of luck for todayโ€™s game. We have beaten South Africa several times, so I anticipate a victory.โ€

Nigeria head to the AFCON last four after beating Angola 1-0 in the quarterfinal.

South Africa, meanwhile, defeated Cape Verde 2-1 via a penalty shootout.
